The independent business activities of Dr. Dörfler as a certified consulting engineer for food and fermentation technology were launched in January 2006. The professional competence and expertise are based on many years of experience :

• More than 12 years of independent consulting work as an engineer with focus in the field of biorefineries,
• Since 2009 certified expert witness for machineries and systems within chemical-technical processing ( biofuels and biogas),
• Since 2006, partnership and cooperation with the technology and consulting company Fermentec Ltda. - Brazil,
• 12 years of production and development activities in the fermentation industry for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients and enzymes (international pharmaceutical company),
• 5 years management experience in the food and agricultural industry (quality control and assurance, analytics, R & D),
• 3 years of research and development work at the Institute for Applied Microbiology / University of Agricultural Sciences - Vienna
• Doctors` degree and engineer diploma in food- & biotechnology at the University of Agricultural Sciences - Vienna,
• Professional MBA for Biotech and Pharma Management at the Danube University Krems,
• Working, training and education experience in USA, Canada , Brazil, India , Russia , Ukraine , Qatar , Thailand , Vietnam, Indonesia , Philippines and China,
• Nomination and appointment by the European Commission in Bruessels as an expert in the evaluation committee "biorefinery & biofuels" in context to the research and innovation programs Horizon 2020 and Bio-Based Industries PPP (from Sept. 2014),
• Nomination and active membership in the working group "Knowledge Transfer" as well as "Industrial Technologies"/ Austrian Chamber of Architects and Professional Consulting Engineers (from Sept. 2017).
